Provincial Cell Phone Directive

No Phones

We are committed to creating a positive learning environment. To support this, we have a provincial cell phone directive, which will be in effect for the 2024-2025 school year. Please review the following directives with your child(ren) before the start of the school year:

● Students in grades PP–6 who have cell phones at school, must have them turned off and stored for the entire school day, including non-instructional times.

● Privacy Areas: Cell phones are prohibited in washrooms and change rooms at all times.

● Individual Needs: Exceptions to these rules may be made to accommodate students' individual needs, such as medical or ability-related considerations, upon consultation with the Student Planning Team, which includes the family and school-based support team.

● Staff Model Behavior: Our staff will lead by example, refraining from using personal cell phones during class for non-work-related activities.

We believe these measure will help maintain a positive learning environment for all.

For further information about the provincial school directive, please see the attached document. Should you have any questions please reach out to the school administration.

Thank you for your support in sharing this message with your child(ren).
